Where You Would Work:  Abbeyglen, C0. Dublin

Abbeyglen is a residential service which is located in Swords, Co. Dublin. The service currently caters for 3 male residents who are between the age of 24 and 50 years of age.

This service provides high quality, person-centred, care and support for 3 male individuals with an intellectual disability/Autism as well as associated mental health issues. All individuals are assessed as requiring this input to enable them to live as independently as possible in their own community and to reach their full respective potentials.

Staff will be required to support the residents with all aspects of their everyday living needs; for example: personal care, meal preparation, money management, transport to activities/appointments, liaise with stakeholders such as family members, social workers, medical professionals etc. as well as ensure the day to day running of the house is maintained.

There is an element of administrative work involved in this role also, with staff being required to complete documentation such as daily notes, monthly summaries, update person centred plans, complete key working and so on. Staff will engage in a process of supervision and will be assigned a supervisor who will support and guide them throughout their induction process initially and then throughout their role, offering mentoring and guidance and always working towards continual professional development and upskilling.

The service is situated in a quiet area in Swords, but is just a stones’ throw away from local amenities such as a shopping centre, cinema, gym, church, beaches and playgrounds.  The service comprises of a lovely outdoor space that the residents can avail of to meet both their sensory, relaxation and recreational needs. Public transport is also easily accessed in the area.

Salary Details:

Support Worker    

Full Time, Part Time and Relief Contracts available    

€27,990 - €38,844 per annum *  

*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on qualification/experience.  Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of €101.60 per night applies*
