Project Manager for substations. Nordjylland. Dinamarca

Are you an experienced engineer or project manager within the field of offshore wind? Do you have a background in substations or similar offshore projects? If so, you might be the ideal candidate for the position of project manager at ProCon Wind Energy A/S.

ProCon Wind Energy is a rapidly growing player in the renewables industry, focusing on onshore and offshore wind activities globally. We are currently seeking two project managers to oversee substations and offshore projects, with overall responsibility for the project, other team members, and associated on-site personnel.

The job

You will have close collaboration with customers, key suppliers, site managers, and back office. The key responsibilities of this role include:

• Being a part of the project execution process from A – Z.
• Purchasing of components and other materials for projects together with procurement.
• Managing the project budget in cooperation with our Finance Department.
• Project Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility for your assigned project.
• Ensure a safe and quality focused environment together with our QHSE Department.
• Coordination and oversight of on-site personnel.
• Guiding and managing blue collars regarding project execution in close collaboration with Site Manager.
• Participation in customer and supplier meetings.

This is a newly created position, and you will refer to the COO.

Expectations to your qualifications

To succeed in the position, we imagine that you possess a combination of the following competencies and experience: 

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a mechanical or electrical engineer or similar relevant background.
• Experience with substations or similar offshore projects.
• A demonstrated successful track record in project management including Profit and Loss responsibility.
• Solid contractual understanding.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills within execution of large-scale projects.
• Ability to work independently while involving your colleagues in task resolution.
• Ability to navigate in an international setup with customers and employees from around the world.
• Formal training as a project manager is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English is a requirement.

Expected travel days are 40 to 50 per year.
