Applications are invited for the following position Nurse Manager on Call (NMOC). A panel will be formed for NMOC posts

(a)    Must be a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland

(b)    Be registered with the Intellectual Disability Division of Nursing Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

In addition, candidates are required to have:

Have a minimum of seven years’ post registration experience, of which two must be in the specialty area of intellectual disability at a management level CNM2 /CNM3

Have acquired a level 8 post-registration or in the process off Nursing Degree, National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic award relevant to the specialist area

Demonstrate evidence of CPD at the appropriate level.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and effective caseload management skills.

Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role. Possess good planning, organisation, and effective time management skills together with the ability to work on their own initiative. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem solving skills, resilience, flexibility, composure and adaptability.

Post holder must have access to own transport.

It is desirable for potential candidates;

to have experience of managing their own caseload/area of responsibility

have the clinical, managerial, triage and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role

This post will involve rostered shift work including weekends.
