Meat Processor Operative. Midland. Irlanda

Troys Abbatoir Ltd are searching for experienced Meat Processor Operatives to work as as part of the factory’s processing team in the production of meat. The succesful candidates will be required to fulfil the production targets on a daily and weekly basis. As part of the team, you will be required to work in all areas of the factory.

Some of the duties will include the following:

• Dressing the slaughtered animal, removing the skin without damaging the carcass.

• Moving the carcasses around the meat areas, without damaging the meat, and putting them on to a production line.

• Using tools such as knives and saws.

• Overseeing automated processing equipment.

• Working on a disassembly line.

• Meeting the production targets on a daily and/or weekly basis.

• Being able to work across all areas of the meat processing plant.

• Working on your own initiative and as part of a team.

• Working a shift schedule.

• Other onsite activities.

Be aware that this is a physical role which involves lifting and carrying techniques.
