Descripción de la oferta de trabajo:
The successful candidate will take responsibility for excellence and delivery in the Operations space. The positin obviously plays a significant role driving change and transformation amongst the Group and be a key sponsor of the business strategy and will ensure the implementation of the 5-year plan objectives. It is an opportunity to transform, shape and build operations capability and team over the next years.
Key Accountabilities
Be accountable for the aggregate plan and delivery of operations and the general operating model at Quintet Private Bank in order to support the Group's ambitious client service requirements and ensuring all entities have cost-effective quality solutions in place.
Proactively bring opportunities to optimize, streamline, utilise the Operations set-up and the “way of work and collaboration”.
Ensure strategic objectives shaped at AMC level are translated into tactical business plans with mechanisms for key measurements in place to monitor progress
Take ownership for the bank's integration agenda across operations, focusing on process standardization, efficiency, execution and automation and the creation of an operations center(s) of excellence for Quintet Group.
Coordinate the efforts of the different operational areas under management to ensure minimal duplication of efforts, maximum efficiency and to maximize value for money.
Rebalance resources between different areas e.g. reallocating headcount or budgets, but within overall approved resources for the year and manage appropriately the right balance of internal resources and external providers.
Be an integral part and driver of the strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting of business requirements and decision-making process.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure correct focus and direction for the Group at operations level.
Form a unified team with the Head of technology as well as with other functions (eg Compliance…) to deliver on the business agenda
Ensure that risk is effectively addressed in all aspects of the business under the Operations area.
Promote & support business initiatives and creativity by providing them with a clear view of cost implication and cost/benefit analysis linked to their initiatives timing and required resources.
Lead, inspire and coach a team, creating succession to key roles and enhancing Quintet Private Bank management capability.
Work with managers in the team to achieve excellent business results through continuous people development and mentoring activities.
Ensure the development of a high-performing team through embedding formal Performance Development and informally coaching management team on how to conduct the process effectively.
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum 15 years of Leadership experience within Operations or similar process related functions of which at least 5 in bank activities.
Economics / Finance / Business / Law MASTER 2. An MBA qualification is an advantage
In depth knowledge of the banking activities products and processes and general knowledge of the financial markets
In depth knowledge of processes and controls within the banking industry
Very good understanding of Regulation
Good understanding of Financial instruments (bonds, equities, money markets, forex, derivatives, funds…), financial markets (main counterparties, liquidity, historical background…), operational matters and of the private banking and wealth management industry including institutional business
Attributes and Qualities
Demonstrated ability to define and promote Operations Strategy at group level
Ability to define collectively with the business leads and the AMC the portfolio of initiatives to be delivered at group level
Capability to implement governance processes regarding all financial and technological decisions
Ability to provide guidance to senior managers in Operations
Hands-on, highly organized and directed leader
Strategic thinking, problem solving, decision making and innovation skills
In depth people management skills

Good knowledge of securities processing, order chains and custody operations (high level view)
Experience in servicing foreign clients
Change management experience
MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
SharePoint, Teams or similar
Languages Skills
Fluent in English and French, German and Dutch would be a benefit
